Though Bruce is well adjusted and more than capable as a police detective, he is determined to hire a specially trained former Luthurs and Green Lantern to seek out the Riddler. This way of being must lead to endless plot twists and the sowing of many surprises along the way.

I am prepared to issue my verdict on The Batman right after the movie credits roll. After seeing it for the first time, I was thrilled at the amount of variety and wonder. It’s an escape from reality and something completely new and original. It’s enjoyable as a story and a character study of Bruce Wayne. It’s a detective movie in a world that most definitely believes it is a metaphor for utopia.
The visual effects are so smooth and polished that you really can’t tell that it’s not 3D until you see the final results. The whole movie is dark and gritty that it’s almost depressing. Yet the tone and ambiance are nothing short of striking, it’s a surprisingly bleak atmosphere. But though I have never been really keen on the darkness I must say it’s far from drab.
It’s also refreshing and exciting to see the “real” Batman fighting crime. I can’t really think of a Batman that’s got at least one superhero sidekick who’s as passionate about the two hero combos as at least two villains.
The action in the movie is incredible. There’s just something about seeing Batman show off his newfound power that’s so fascinating. There are many bizarre and breathtaking sequences that I was able to enjoy. This is a great take on what you may have imagined an action thriller to be.
The Gotham City weather is the most entertaining element of The Batman. Gotham rains with nothing but constant tempropias. According to Bruce Wayne, “It rained harder than it has ever rained before!” that was in 2020. It rains every day of the year but damns those wimpy people are incredibly lazy. The weather says it all. You can’t even leave your house without the annoying constant tapping of the rain tap on the smartphone/cameras/Laptops. It’s just that basic. This is a movie that really enjoys not having to worry about a particularly weather-based issue.
The storytelling style of the movie is far more in-depth than most movies you’d watch about the origins of a Batman. It’s pretty cool to see how the villains themselves are the stories and what their motivations are. Instead of having them all be really boring or only have one goal, this movie offers a wide variety of different scenarios, characterization, and even some bit of knowledge as to who is good and who is bad.

That’s been the stock-in-trade of whatever version of Gotham City has been in Bruce Wayne’s mind since day one. You either know he’s so smart that the criminals cannot affect him, but it can’t be that people around him all follow his every command and there are people who aren’t willing to do what he wants.
I’ll end by saying that watching the real movie is what I really want to focus on next. Sure, I understand that this film is full of mistakes, but there is so much quality to it. I got to see it almost a year ago and now I can’t wait to see the movie once again. Sure, it won’t be exactly what you thought it was. But I’m really looking forward to what the finished product will be. It’s the superhero film that doesn’t make you think that we all know what Bruce Wayne is really like.

Special Observation: I feel a bit cheated that this movie wasn’t 18. From the very beginning, you can see that The Riddler will be the most interesting character to watch and that it will be the biggest conflict. His storylines are both very real and incredibly intriguing. It’s also amazing to see how quick and vivid the detective narrative will be. My wife and I never want to get bored anymore, which is great for a movie that doesn’t have endless amounts of plot twists. I love movies like this.
